Shipping Policy


All items listed for sale in our "Shop" section (via Etsy) are priced to include shipping fees in the total purchase price. These included prices are for shipping to the continental US only, with international & Alaska/Hawaii shipping prices factored separately. If you would like an estimate for shipping fees outside of the continental US, please contact me directly at

Shipping Time Frame

All items for sale are made-to-order and require time to create, assemble and prepare for shipment from the date of purchase. Your purchase is guaranteed to be shipped within 5-10 days from the date of purchase (depending on the size, quantity ordered, and shop order traffic). Please plan on an additional 2-6 days for shipping. We suggest ordering at least 2-3 weeks prior to the date you would like to receive your order. Custom order time frames vary based on your specific order, and will be discussed prior to listing your order. 

Orders ship thru UPS and USPS. Shipping labels are created either via Etsy or based on the best price available. Tracking numbers will be provided for all orders once available. If you need your order by a certain date, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. Rush shipping fees and/or rush production fees may apply.

Any orders placed during the Holiday Season in December may take longer to prepare and ship. To guarantee delivery in time, please allow a time frame of at least 30 days before the deadline date to allow for slower shipping times and increased order traffic. 


If you are not 100% satisfied with your order, you may return any items purchased through our "Shop" section that has not been used or altered in any way within 30 days from purchase for an exchange or refund.

Any order cancelled within 24 hrs of submitting payment (via Etsy) will have a $2 cancellation fee deducted from the total refunded amount (this covers our transaction fees- for processing your order and for processing the refund). Since all items in our Shop are made-to-order, any orders cancelled after 24 hrs of submitting or returned will be charged a 10% cancellation fee (this covers our transaction fees & labor used during your order). 

*Purchased Patterns & Custom Orders cannot be exchanged or refunded (including anything that is designed specifically for you as well as items with custom names, dates, initials, etc.)

Any returned or exchanged items are to be mailed back to The Knotted Nail at the buyers expense. Refunded money will be processed to the original transaction form of tender within 2 business days upon receiving your returned item(s) back in new condition. The Knotted Nail holds the right to refuse refund for any items that have been returned back in used condition or altered in any way.

Please make sure your full name and Etsy order # is included with your return. Any items being returned to The Knotted Nail for refund or exchange must be packaged properly so they are not damaged during shipment. Failure to do so may result in items getting damaged, and we will not offer a refund on damaged items that aren't properly packaged. We do understand some items may be mishandled during shipment outside of the buyer's control, in which case you will be given the refund.
